La Taqueria Copycat Recipes
La Taqueria is the Mission District taqueria at 2889 Mission Street in San Francisco that has been making carnitas burritos the same way since 1973 — no rice, just carnitas, refried beans, cheese, and salsa wrapped in a flour tortilla and foil-toasted to order. In 2004, the James Beard Foundation named it an America's Classic; in 2014, FiveThirtyEight scored 64 burritos and declared it America's best.
